New Year, New Boundaries Log


Yo, yo, yo, everyone, Shitsu here. 

Back, as always, with another  -insanely overdue- log.  But hey, it’s finally here, so without further ado, let’s get into it.

Scene Five.

A lot has happened since the last log, and when I say a lot, I mean A LOT. Fortunately, the strategy we had in place to speed things up turned out to be a total and resounding success. Not just in terms of speed, but also in terms of reducing stress and freeing up extraordinary amounts of extra work that, to be honest, didn't contribute much to our continuous progress.

Digging deeper into the topic, to execute the strategy, we decided to plan out Emily's entire route from scene four to its conclusion in scene seven. We detailed each event in the scenes along with all the important information for writing and overall development.

Even though it wasn't an easy task, it ended up yielding spectacular results.

Currently, we've already finished the development of scene five, which is incredible considering we started writing it on December 10th. It has been only a month, and we've already finished a complete scene, with over 60 pages and a lot of new visual assets. We're definitely starting to see results in terms of development speed, which, when compared to scene three, is taking us three times less time.

We hope to keep moving forward rapidly, ensuring that the quality of the story continues to grow without unnecessarily extending the development. This way, we'll not only see the release of the complete game much sooner, but we'll also have enough time to review and improve all kinds of secondary aspects that will make the overall experience much better.

I’ll make sure to keep you guys informed as soon as scene six is completed, at the current speed, I’m sure that Emily’s route will be completely finished by April.

Outsiders S3 Demo Update

As some of our Kickstarter backers may already know, a couple of weeks ago, we uploaded the demo update containing scene 3 to our Discord. However, as mentioned in a couple of logs ago, the demo update would not only be available to our backers but would also be accessible to everyone shortly thereafter. So that's why...

¡It’s a pleasure to announce that the scene three Demo it’s now live and available for everyone to try it! Please feel free to comment, ask, and give us any sort of feedback that you like. 

Additionally, we'd like to share that despite the modest size of this update (around 1hr+), we currently have a lot more progress done. However, due to the big effort required for translating demo versions, only scene three is included in this update. The reason behind this is that scene three is fully completed and thoroughly reviewed. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to providing more updates in the future. Thanks, and we’re really sorry for the long wait.

Steam Page

From the beginning of the project, we have always sought to be as transparent as possible about the development and the new content we are gradually adding to the game, trying to make its visibility wider, and give more people the opportunity to learn about Outsiders.

That's why we had always considered the possibility of creating a Steam page. With the purpose of reaching the project to many more people, ensuring keys for our backers, and preparing the ground for the release of the full version.

¡AND FINALLY, after all this time! I am pleased to announce that all the paperwork is finally done.

The only thing left to do is proceed with the organization of the page, add visuals, and make everything look right. Once everything is finished, there will be a small log informing about the release and addressing various general questions about wishlists and keys.
